Thank you for Giving to the Max!

Thank you to the generous individuals and families who helped us raise funds to support our exhibit in development!

Give to the Max Day (GTMD) is an annual event hosted by the fundraising collaborative GiveMN.org, which focuses on supporting Minnesota’s many diverse non-profit organizations and schools that rely on charitable giving.  To build enthusiasm and help focus excitement, GiveMn.org hosts GTMD every November.  On this one day, special prizes are awarded to organizations and schools with the most donations received, and surprise “golden tickets” drawn randomly that may translate into a $10.000 donation.

The Dorothy Molter Museum participates in this event to raise funds for special projects, which often require more funding than the museum can sustain on its own.  Donations received through GiveMN.org and on GTMD often complement other private donor funds, grants and museum funds earmarked for these special projects. Past projects that have been successfully completed through funds raised on GTMD include providing bird seed for Birds’ Landing at Dorothy’s, offering additional youth programming and improving museum exhibits.

This year, we continue to fundraise for a new exhibit in the Cady Cabin Creating the Boundary Waters: 25 Objects, 25 Stories.

However, you don’t have to wait until next November to give – GiveMN.org accepts donations for our project all year-round!

GiveMN links generous people like you with organizations like us working to make Minnesota a better place. Give to the Max Day makes giving simple, rewarding and fun.
