Thanks for a great 2019!

Thank you so very much for a fantastic 2019 summer season at the Dorothy Molter Museum!

It was a busy spring with capital improvements to both the Winter and Point Cabins, a fast-moving summer with weekly root beer making classes and a stellar women’s canoe trip, and a busy fall with some of the busiest Saturdays we’ve had in October in a long time. We could not have offered the programs and services we did this year our dedicated staff, board, volunteers, membership family and visitors – THANK YOU!

Congratulations to Judy from Chattanooga, TN for winning the Canoe Raffle this year. The lucky ticket was purchased at our Museum booth at the Ely Blueberry Festival in July.

We are already planning for this winter’s events during the Ely Winter Festival, including our annual FUNdraising dinner (the plaid tie event) on Thursday, February 13 and Whirlwind! with VCC students on Saturday, February 8. We will also be offering several Brew-it Yourself Classes and have public hours – check out our Programs & Events page for details.

Please mark your calendars for Give to the Max Day on November 14 where Minnesota spends 24 hours raising much-needed funds for non-profits across the state! Dollars are matched, big prizes are drawn ($10,000!!!) and it all supports important non-profit work in Minnesota. We continue to raise funds for the ongoing care and maintenance of Dorothy’s Cabins.

As always, if you are visiting Ely with a group and would like to schedule a private appointment to view Dorothy’s Cabins, please give us a call at  218 365 4451.
