2022 FUNdraising Events

Join us in a variety of ways during the Ely Winter Festival for our annual fundraising events.

VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Online Silent Auction – Feb 3-10
An online silent auction will start February 3 at 12:15am in an effort to raise funds for the Dorothy Molter Museum. This annual fundraiser helps carry the organization through the winter season when staff and volunteers work to plan and prepare for the coming summer season. It is live now so you can peruse the items as they are added!

Virtual Gathering Webinar – Thursday, Feb 10, 7pm
Once again we are offering a free Zoom program to share updates on the Museum and a little bit of history about Dorothy Molter. It’s certainly not the same as gathering together over a meal but it allows those from near and far to participate!

IN PERSON OPPORTUNITIES

Whirlwind! – Saturday, Feb 5, 11am-2pm
We are bringing back our annual winter celebration in collaboration with Vermilion Community College. Join us for this outdoor community event where VCC students will offer interpretive stations highlighting aspects of “winter in the Northwoods” including ice harvesting, snowshoeing and snow shelters. This event is FREE and includes access into Dorothy’s historic cabins. Pre-registration to visit the Museum is encouraged to stay up-to-date on Covid protocols, but is not required (online registration).

Museum Tours – Feb 4-6 and Feb 10-12, 10am-4pm
If you are visiting Ely during the Ely Winter Festival, we will have public tour hours available over the weekends. You may pre-purchase admission here or walk-in. If you can’t make our scheduled public hours, contact us directly and if staff are available, we’ll try to provide a private appointment. (online registration)
