New Program Alert

History Happy Hour is on Tap!

How about a tidbit of Ely Area history in about the time it takes to drink a pint of ale? History Happy Hour is a FREE monthly, local history presentation in about 30 minutes.

The goal is to educate, inspire and entertain with a pint-sized historical tale in about the time it takes to drink a glass of a beverage of your choice. History Happy Hour will scratch the surface on a different Ely Area history topic each month.

This informal program is held upstairs Lookout Lounge at the Boathouse Brewpub & Restaurant, and folks are encouraged to purchase beverages while attending to support this local business offering the space for free. The Lookout Lounge is open from approximately 4:45pm-5:45pm so please arrive early or stay after to order meals downstairs. Bonus – hang out afterward and listen to local musicians during open mic night!

If you are a trivia buff and enjoy the monthly Ely Trivia Night also held at the Boathouse, don’t be surprised if there are questions from History Happy Hour that pop up.

This program is sponsored by the Ely Heritage Preservation Commission and the Dorothy Molter Museum with support from Boundary Waters Connect, the Ely Folk School and of course, venue host the Boathouse Brewpub.
