Gift-Giving

Every year, Museum staff spend time designing and curating products to offer to visitors in our Interpretive Center & Gift shop. Many of these items are unique to the Dorothy Molter Museum and not available at any other retail gift shop or online store. The selection or design process begins with whether or not the item reflects the intent of the Museum’s mission and vision

The Dorothy Molter Museum preserves and interprets Northwoods wilderness heritage through learning opportunities inspired by Dorothy Molter, the last non-indigenous resident of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). It’s vision is to inspire the next generation of Northwoods stewards to make a significant contribution toward a better world through Dorothy’s legacy of perseverance, integrity and generosity.

Although staff try to upload new product each spring, time often gets redirected to preparing the Museum for summer visitation and program offerings. With a recent snow day, staff have been able to dedicate time to obtain and edit imagery, create descriptions and post most of the new product that was offered in the physical gift shop in 2019.

There is a wide variety of items to choose from, for yourself or for a gift this giving season. Thank you for your support!
