Women’s Canoe Trip

Join us this June for our Boundary Waters Experience: Women’s Canoe Trip!

This trip is designed to make even the most novice canoer feel empowered to plan end execute their own canoe trip. With two, experienced trip guides, you’ll learn the ins and outs of canoe travel and camping in the BWCAW as well as best practices, etiquette and safety when on a wilderness trip.

The Museum partners with Ely Outfitting Company & Boundary Waters Guide Service to provide all transport and gear for this 4 day/3 night adventure up to Knife Lake – former home of Dorothy Molter, the Root Beer Lady.

Sound intriguing?

Both the Dorothy Molter Museum and Ely Outfitting Company & Boundary Waters Guide Service are committed to ensuring the good health and safety of all involved and have taken steps to implement Covid-19 safety protocols and precautionary practices. This includes having participants not in the same household (or bubble) sleep in their own tents, wearing masks when staying 6′ apart is not possible (helping someone load a canoe for example) and enhanced cleaning of shared gear (cooking items, maps, etc).
