Financial Support

As a private, non-profit educational and historic organization, we rely on the generous support of donors, members, grant reviewers and volunteers.  We won’t lie, financial support is one of the most important factors in how we make decisions regarding exhibit availability and programming.  With those who knew Dorothy becoming rarer as time marches on, it becomes increasingly more important to expand our reach as the only organization dedicated to keeping Dorothy’s story alive.

Support can come in many forms and we appreciate your consideration of any of the following:

  • Museum General Fund
  • Dorothy’s Cabin Fund
  • Program & Exhibit Fund
  • Dorothy’s Bird Food Fund
  • Wilderness First Responder Scholarship Fund – Tell me more about this (link to WFR page)

Your contribution – no matter the form – allows us to stay committed to our mission of inspiring the next generation of Northwoods stewards with Dorothy’s story.

  • Bequests
  • In-kind gifts
  • Sponsorship of events
  • Matching gifts

If you would like to discuss these other contribution options with a staff member, we would love to hear from you.
