If you would like to consider being a volunteer Tour Guide, please contact us! Staff training is generally the third week of May each spring and we’d love to add to our volunteer family. Volunteer Tour Guides may be scheduled as little as 5 hours per week.

We typically hire seasonal staff in March and April each year. However, we welcome inquiries year-round.

Visitor Services Assistant Internship

Seasonal, Full-time Hourly, No Benefits

Along with other visitor services staff, the Visitor Services Assistant [Intern] acts as the initial visitor contact to the public for admissions, tours and programs, are responsible for maintaining retail operations. Primary duties revolve around sharing the story of Dorothy Molter through interpretation as a tour guide, Camp KWITCHURBELIAKIN, the museum’s weekly children’s program and weekly Brew-it Yourself Classes. Depending on the hired applicant, collections care may also be included in the duties.

This position generally starts with staff training the third week of May and concludes approximately the third week of August or later (depending on whether the hired applicant is still enrolled in school or not).

Tour Guide

Seasonal, Part-time Hourly, No Benefits

Along with other visitor services staff, a Tour Guide acts as an ambassador of Dorothy’s story to the public through scheduled historic interpretive tours and programs. Applicants may work as little as one day per week or up to four days per week depending on staffing needs at time of hire.

This position generally starts with staff training the third week of May and concludes after the second week of September or earlier/later (depending on the hired applicant’s availability).
