The Dorothy Molter Museum is excited to be celebrating its 26th season at our little piece of heaven in the pines on the edge of Ely, and we hope that you are just as enthusiastic for this summer season too!
Once again, we will be offering our monthly, free community events as well as our weekly Camp KWITCHURBELIAKIN for children ages four to 12, and – by popular demand – we’ve made our Brew-it Yourself Class for ages eight and up weekly as well! Both weekly programs include a hands-on lesson in making homemade root beer that participants get to take home in a 32oz growler.
Our Creating the Boundary Waters: 25 Objects, 25 Stories exhibit will be available again for visitors to take a journey through the often controversial, decades-long (even centuries-long) story of how the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness came to be the entity it is today.
We look forward to serving our guests and sharing the legacy of Dorothy Molter!
